SubBill vs. Traditional

SubBill creates professional layers in between the various elements of a project. SubBill becomes the "Go To" source for all change orders, proposals, current completed percentages and monthly billing. By removing the paperwork function from the construction body of the project, active trades get the opportunity to focus on their own trades and not worry about keeping themselves up to date with how and when to generate their paperwork. This added value provides contractors with an industry standard professional approach while helping them save thousands of dollars in office overhead cost. The added value usually results in lower bids and more wins for contractors.

The width of each section indicates the overhead and time spent on construction paperwork (Click on the images to enlarge):

Project Setup

Project Initiation and Consultation: When you start off your first project with us, we go through a brief interview to set you up in our system as a registered contractor and define and create your first project. In some cases the project is already in the system and all you need is to enroll into it. If your project has not yet started, we help you setup a fair breakdown of your contract in the form of schedule of values and define a monthly cash flow based on the projects main schedule. We collect all the contact information and distribution list for the parties that need to receive your paperwork:

Your project initiation includes:

  • Schedule of value breakdown and monthly cash flow charts.
  • Request for Change Order forms customized for you and your project. These forms are ready made and contain a bar-code that identifies you and your project. All you need is to write down your estimate and fax it to us. We will register those in our system and submit them on your behalf and once approved we will automatically include them in your future billings.
  • Addition to our subcontractor data base for future referrals.
  • Project specific RFI forms with tracking bar-code.
  • 6 billing cycles (or 6 months, whichever comes first). Every billing cycle includes a work status survey sent to your field supervisor, addition of all your approved change orders,, submission of your billing and tracking your open change order requests.
